Happy #marketMonday everyone! Keep your little social media eyes peeled for a giveaway coming up including a bunch of my favorite products! It's more fun if you can sample them, right?
—If you only try one new product today, MAKE IT THIS ONE! Savour This Sauce is a vegan, gluten-free gourmet sauce, spread and dressing line. They're all handcrafted and locally sourced, made by a brother-sister duo who are THE CUTEST. Red Pepper Romesco is my fave: a combo of olive oil, sun-dried tomatoes, almonds, roasted red peppers, apple cider vinegar, garlic, salt and pepper. It's so good, you'll spoon the jar. #letsgetsaucey Check out their kickstarter to purchase and help them go big!
—Not all water is created equal, and most of ours in the States is mineral deficient! While water filters like Brita and Pur (or systems like reverse osmosis) screen out the unwanted stuff like chlorine and fluoride, they're also removing minerals that are beneficial for your health, minerals that WE NEED! I use ConcenTrace Trace Mineral Drops in the liquids I drink to remineralize my filtered water. One small bottle at ~$10 will last you years.
—I've talked about this health elixir before, but Bragg Organic Apple Cider Vinegar is the bomb. It promotes digestion and pH balance, supports the immune system immensely and even soothes irritated skin. It's chock full of enzymes and potassium. Drink it diluted with water and honey, add it to dressings and vinaigrettes, cook it into broths and baked beans, the options are endless! Less than $4 for a 16 oz. bottle, but I usually buy a big one.
—Psyllium is a true dietary fiber and one that we as Americans are missing out on a lot in our diets. It's basically the "great equalizer" no matter what your digestion is going through (if you know what I mean). I mix a T into smoothies, but you can drink a spoonful straight mixed into water. It's tasteless and your intestines will thank you! I use Now Foods Whole Psyllium Husks — $8 for a big 12 oz. jug.
